The FBI has opened a new investigation into the Clinton Foundation and, in this case, as reported by The Hill’s John Solomon who broke the story: “[t]he Justice Department has launched a new inquiry into whether the Clinton Foundation engaged in any pay-to-play politics or other illegal activities while Hillary Clinton served as Secretary of State.” Separately, the DOJ is also set to re-examine Hillary Clinton’s infamous emails and the — what many consider criminal and scandalous in their own right — decisions that were made to do things like change “gross negligence” (a criminal offence) to simply being “careless” (not a criminal offence).
As Media Research Center NewsBuster’s Curtis Houck points out:
To the shock of no one (at least in the NewsBusters newsroom), the “big three” networks of ABC, CBS, and NBC ignored on Friday morning the stunning revelation that the Clinton Foundation is under FBI investigation for possible crimes while Hillary Clinton was Secretary of State.
If I’m not mistaken, the IRS also continues to investigate the Clinton Foundation and, very importantly, these are only the investigations that we know of: I don’t think it unreasonable to suspect that additional investigations may already be underway and/or on the way, and it certainly isn’t out of the realm of possibilities that one or more secret grand juries have already been convened and are hard at work. Not to mention the rather inconvenient truth that the entire Russiagate investigation, overall, seems to be leading to Clinton and the DNC, more so than Trump and associates, on any substantive matters.
Suppose, if you will, a scenario wherein the Clinton “cabal,” that has been both alluded to and discussed by various people for many years, supported by the deep state and a heavily biased mainstream media colluded, plotted, schemed, scammed and committed as yet publicly unconfirmed criminal actions with whatever intent and purpose, and all parties were assured of protection for and against their involvement in these activities by way of what they were assured and reassured was a foregone conclusion, the election of Hillary Clinton as the 45th President of the United States. Oh, all the talk of the most qualified political candidate in history and of breaking the (so-called) glass ceiling was all such sanctimonious music to their ears.
Now, what would you do if you were involved in some very serious wrongdoing, or at least some very questionable doing, and the assurances about your protection from detection and ramifications of your involvement and actions (and possibly even criminal prosecution) was now completely off the table? How you and they could have possibly gotten it all so wrong is a topic for another discussion … For now, let’s just discuss what you and your associates, and others in a similar precarious position, need to do in order to eliminate or at least mitigate against what could turn into years or even decades in prison.
Distract and deflect is a tried and true method and, arguably, it can be employed pretty much anywhere and in any situation; it also doesn’t really have any limitations and it can be taken to extremes, if need be, such as starting a war and/or killing hundreds or thousands of innocent people, which can most certainly divert the attentions of your adversaries, the media, society … everyone and anyone! Heck, the
Clinton News Network CNN was distracted by something as mundane as President Donald Trump allegedly drinks 12 Diet Cokes a day while the New York City subway faced a terrorist attack. And, the fact that the bomb did not detonate properly does not make it simply an attempted terrorist attack: That is the sort of semantics employed by Islamist apologists.
Does any of this sound familiar? The political left and the childish #resistance to Trump would like you to believe that it is Trump trying to distract and deflect — nearly anything he says or does, they argue, is an attempt to distract from Russiagate. No, they aren’t concerned about the economy (which is relatively and comparatively roaring under Trump, by the way), and indeed they aren’t much concerned with anything, really, that isn’t part of the so-called progressive ideology and narrative.
… if Trump cured cancer the mainstream media would report the story as Trump puts THOUSANDS of cancer doctors and nurses out of work!
I’ve very much come to agree with a couple of sentiments that I’ve recently heard: First is that if Trump cured cancer the mainstream media would report the story as Trump puts THOUSANDS of cancer doctors and nurses out of work! and, second is that anything liberals accuse you of, they are guilty of themselves (and are trying to deflect, distract and project onto you): When they say they support free speech, you can be assured they mean only speech they agree with. When they say they support the Constitution of the United States, you can be assured they mean only when it suits their needs. When they say they are anti-fascist and anti-violence, you can be assured that they and their allies are fascists and violent. To these people up is down and wrong is right … As long as it sticks it to Trump!
To anyone with a modicum of common sense, intellectual honesty, and who is being honest to themselves it is plain and clear to see that Donald Trump is not the problem. Yes, I readily admit and agree that President Trump often doesn’t help the situation with some of his tweets and reactions. But I think the real problem will eventually rightly be found, by psychologists and sociologists, as being a very good example of mass hysteria, or some similar type phenomenon constituting abnormal and even dangerous psychology on the part of a large and broad segment of society. At the same time, I think eventually other researchers (e.g., legal and political) will determine that another group was hard at work — a group actually with very clear minds and, in hindsight, clear motives and intent. Nefarious, or at the very least highly unethical and immoral motives and intent.
All the attempts to delegitimize Donald Trump’s presidency (and the will of the people) — whether it be Russia! Russia! Russia!, or misogyny, ridiculous attempts at impeachment, mental health “concerns,” his father had Alzheimer’s, or Michael Wolff’s work of pulp fiction Fire & Fury (it’s true because it’s titillating) — may all be, at their core, parts of a concerted campaign not so much to take down Donald Trump and his associates but to protect Hillary Clinton and hers.
